I'm Vlad Arkhipov, a software engineer. I've been developing software professionally since 2004, mostly working on distributed systems. In recent years, I've worked on identity and access management and cloud security.

In 2013, I wrote temporal_tables, a PostgreSQL extension for keeping a history of changes to database tables. We ended up using Hibernate Envers on our own project, but other people found the extension useful.

I grew up in Irkutsk, lived in Moscow, and now live in Belgrade. Outside work, I run, solve math problems, research my family history, play the piano, and learn languages.

Now

I'm a Staff Software Engineer at Yandex Cloud in Belgrade. I work with the SIEM, Security Deck, and Smart Web Security teams. Before returning to development, I managed engineering teams at Yandex Cloud and Nebius.
